I retired from the US Navy after 26 years of traveling all around the world and playing golf whenever I
wasn't at sea. I knew when I retired I wanted to work in the golf industry and decided to attend the San Diego
Golf Academy to get a jump start on my new career. That is where I learned the basics of teaching golf and club
repair. I have been custom fitting, making and repairing golf clubs for four years. Additionally, I have become
certified to teach by the United States Golf Teachers Federation. Understanding the finer aspects of the golf
swing are critical to identifying the correct makeup of a golf club of each individual player. Whether a beginning
amateur or tour player a custom fit club will always produce the best possible results. A custom fit club will
usually be less expensive and perform better than a club bought off the rack.
A trained club fitter will spend 90 minutes to two hours reviewing more than 17 different aspects of a
golfer's clubs, ball flight, swing and makeup of the clubs in his bag in order to understand how to build his custom clubs. Custom built clubs can not be bought off the shelf. They are built one measurement, one desired
shot, one golf goal at a time. It is a process that will bring you closer to the perfect clubs than you have
ever been before.
A relationship is developed with every customer. I make clubs and teach the game so that golfers will
improve to the level they desire and are capable of achieving. I will never make a million dollars building clubs.
